I don't expect the chief and the officers to be buddy-buddy but it's a horrible relationship. They should work together to fight crime, not fight each other.

As health costs continue to rise, American families and employers across the country are all too often forced to direct even more of their scarce household resources toward health care coverage or choose between keeping health coverage or employees. Clearly, the American health care system is facing a financial crisis and the time has come for Congress to tackle these challenges and build a health care system that not only meets the demands of the 21st century but guarantees universal access to affordable, quality care for every American at every stage of life. Please join US Rep. Phil English (R-Pa.) and U.S. Senator Bob Bennett (R-Utah) at the 2008 Congressional Health Care Summit in Erie, Pennsylvania for a robust discussion on the challenges we face in health care today and a range of proposals to provide sound solutions. This Congress, English and Bennett have teamed up to introduce the Healthy Americans Act. The breakthrough legislation, which does not alter or eliminate Medicare or Veterans Administration healthcare programs, marks the first bipartisan, bicameral comprehensive healthcare reform bill to cover every American in more than a decade. Specifically, the Healthy Americans Act will provide affordable, private health care for all Americans while maintaining quality care throughout the system. Although not perfect, the Healthy Americans Act will go a long way in laying the groundwork for Congress to overhaul the American health care system. Join us to discuss the complex and multifaceted challenges currently straining the system and all Americans as well as to discuss new and innovative proposals to a crisis long overdue for a solution.
